Property transactions in January have got off to a good start compared with 12 months ago, provisional seasonally adjusted data from HMRC shows.

Construction output increased by 1.1% in the three months to November, ONS data has showed.
The number of residential property transactions rose by 6.2% from November to December, HMRC’s Property Transactions Statistics have shown.
